This is a family oriented 3 star hotel with around 200 rooms.  It was built in 1971, but was renovated in 2004.  It is well located just steps from the beach and the surrounding area has plenty of shops.

On site is a bar as well as a buffet style restaurant.  The hotel has two swimming pools, as well as a playground and other facilities for the kids.

At this hotel you will also find onsite parking, internet service and an in room safe.

The Hotel Playa del Ingles is a reasonably price hotel that for a one bedroom option will run you about $85 a night for the bed and breakfast option, $95 a night for half board accommodations and around $120 a night for full board. For those of you not from Europe, what that means is the different amounts of food that the hotel will serve you for the included price.

The difference is as follows: Bed and breakfast means you have your room and they will feed you breakfast at the hotel for no extra charge. Half board means they will feed you breakfast and dinner and lunch is on your own. Full board means breakfast, lunch and dinner.  Drinks are not included with these rates, for that you would have to choose the all inclusive option if they have it.

The Hotel Playa del Ingles does not have the all inclusive option and the breakfast and dinner options are buffets.  I think half board would be the way to go.  You can fill up on breakfast, go out and about during the day and pick up lunch somewhere and then have dinner back at the hotel while you are getting ready for your evenings out.

The Hotel Playa del Ingles has all of the amenities you could want at a hotel.  In addition to comfortable rooms, they are located just 200m away from the beach.  Again, for those of you not from Europe, that is a little over 1/10 of a mile, or somewhere around a block or two.  They also have a fresh water swimming pool, snack bar, sun loungers, parasols and a solarium. You can go for a game of table tennis, billiards, darts or boccia.   There is a daily entertainment entertainment programme for children and adults as well as a miniclub, playground and splash pool for kids.

Close by the Hotel Playa del Ingles is the center of town where you can find lots of shopping options, restaurants, bars, and nightclubs.  There is also transportation links very close by, in case you want to visit other parts of the island of Gran Canaria while you are on holidays, or vacations as they are called by some.
