The best way to find the cheap flights to Gran Canaria, or anywhere else for that matter, is to start off doing some research. You need to find out which airlines fly into that airport (LPA). Then you can start cross referencing which of those airlines routinely fly out of your home airport. This tactic will ensure that you are looking at airlines that service both airports. Ideally, you are looking for one of these airlines that has a hub either in your home airport or at Gran Canaria, because if you can find a hub, you have a better chance of finding those cheap flights to Gran Canaria.
Here is another source of information that you may find useful. This is a report on Insider Secrets to Cheap Flights written by an ex airline employee. He gives you insider secrets and tips on how to go about getting the best airfare for those flights to Gran Canaria. For under $30.00, it would be worth it if it can save you that much on just one airfare. Using that information over and over again to save money when booking airfare can be a huge money saver, not to mention a time saver! Nothing in here that you could probably not dig up on your own, but why would you spend all that time doing research when someone has already done it for you and the price is so cheap?

How you go about searching for your flights to Gran Canaria? I usually start my search to see which airlines fly to Gran Canaria, and in finding which ones have a hub for where I am flying from. I think this is the best way to go about finding bargain flights, no matter where you want to fly. If you've booked an all-inclusive to grant canaria, chances are your flights are already included in the price of your holiday to grant canaria.
But if you did not get the all inclusive to Gran Canaria, you want to figure out how to get the cheapest flight to Gran Canaria or any of the other Canary Islands. I really think when going on your Canaries holidays, that the best airport for you to fly into is the Gran Canaria airport. The reason I say this is that it is the largest airport in the Canary Islands of Spain, and so you will have your best chance of finding cheap flights when you are looking at this airport. If however, you are taking yourself on a luxury Gran Canaria holiday, finding cheap flights may not be your highest priority. If that is the case, you may want to look at charter flights. It may not be the most economical way to fly, but if you can afford it, it will certainly be the most convenient way to fly.
No matter what kind of budget you have for your Canary Island holidays, whether it is a charter flight or commercial flight, first class or coach, advance planning or last-minute deal, you will be sure to enjoy the Canary Islands when you get there. Getting cheap flights to Gran Canaria just means that you will have more holiday dollars to spend once you leave the airport.
While you are looking into your flights to Gran Canaria, you might as well be looking for your car rental on Gran Canaria at the same time. Lots of people will forgo this luxury, especially this year, since rental cars are so expensive. If that is the case, you may just want to look at a Gran Canaria, car hire for a day for some sightseeing. If you're going to be spending most of your time on the beach or in the shopping centers or bar areas of Playa del Ingles or Maspalomas, a rental car may not be the best way to go for you. In this case it makes much more sense to just use the public transportation bus system, or book excursions to take in the activities that you want, which will often include transportation to and from your motel.
Since Gran Canaria is a popular tourist destination for people from the UK, it will often be easier to find cheap flights to Gran Canaria from UK than it will be to find cheap flights to Gran Canaria from the states. If you're looking for cheap flights to Gran Canaria from Ireland, either Dublin or Belfast, I would suggest you take a look at Ryan air. They have some seriously cheap flights, and they fly from Dublin Ireland as well as Belfast Ireland into Gran Canaria airport, but I think you'll have to route through Glasgow airport. If I were traveling from that part of the world though, I think I would be willing to do that to score the cheap flights to Gran Canaria that you would be able to get from them. If you're looking for a good way to score some cheap holidays to gran canaria, this is one of the tools that should be in your toolbox.
Your flights from Gran Canaria to the UK is going to run you somewhere around 4 to 5 hours. If you are not flying on Ryan air, this may not be such a big consideration, but on any low-cost air carrier you are going to want to consider how long your flight is. Not only for the fact that the seats can be more uncomfortable on a low-cost air carrier, but also because they do not give you any of the in-flight perks that some of the higher cost airline's will. So if you are going to be in the air that long, you will want to make sure that you have snacks, fluids, and entertainment for your self and the rest of the people joining you on your Gran Canaria holidays. The same, of course, will apply to your flights from Gran Canaria back to the UK, or wherever else you will be landing.
